A hot press autoclave is special equipment for composite material molding. Under vacuum or non-vacuum conditions, it provides heating and pressurization curing environments for composite blanks, honeycomb sandwich structures and bonded structures.
The equipment consists of an autoclave cylinder, fan system, pressurizing system, exhaust system, vacuum system, heating system, cooling system, feeding system, automatic control system, instrument system, safety system and other supporting accessories.

Pressurization Principle
Air or inert gas is pumped into the autoclave by a compressor to raise the internal pressure. The pressure acts evenly on the surface of workpieces through vacuum bags, enabling uniform curing and forming of all parts of the component under consistent pressure.

Heating Principle
Heat is generated by heating elements such as stainless steel electric heating tubes. A high-temperature fan circulates hot air inside the autoclave to achieve uniform heating and accelerate the curing reaction of composite materials.

Vacuum Principle
A vacuum pump evacuates air inside the vacuum bag to create a vacuum environment. On one hand, it removes trapped gas and volatiles from composite materials; on the other hand, it creates a pressure differential against the internal autoclave pressure to further compact the composites and improve product quality.
Flexible Pressurization
Workpieces are laid on one side of molds and sealed inside vacuum bags. Vacuum pumping inside the bags applies extra pressure on the parts, tightly attaching workpieces to molds. It supports manufacturing composite components with various shapes.
Uniform Temperature and Pressure
Heated or cooled gas circulates at high speed inside the autoclave, maintaining nearly identical gas temperature at all positions. With properly structured molds, temperature differences across components remain minimal during heating and cooling cycles. Specially designed internal air ducts ensure evenly distributed pressure, allowing workpieces to cure and form under consistent pressure everywhere.
High Production Efficiency
Hot press autoclaves feature large internal capacity. Two or more layers of molds can be loaded in a single batch, and different components can be cured simultaneously. Multiple parts are produced at once, shortening production cycles and boosting overall efficiency.
Stable and Reliable Process
Temperature and pressure inside the autoclave are uniform, adjustable and controllable, delivering consistent quality and stable mechanical performance for finished parts. The autoclave molding process is adopted for most high-load composite components used in aerospace applications.
